The Sommelier

Federica Muggenburg, Sommelier and Restaurant Manager, comes with an expansive portfolio of experience. 

She was valeditorian at the Culinary Institute of America, in Hyde Park, N.Y. with double degrees in both Restaurant Management and Culinary Arts.  She also studied at the the Culinary Institute of America, Napa Valley, CA., where she specialized in Food and Wine pairing.   

In France, she trained under renowned French Master Chef, Pierre Orsi, working as garde manger (salads, hors d’oeuvres, soups & charcuterie), pastry chef and posionier (fish and seafood specialist).   In Mexico, she was a restaurant critic for Catadores Magazine and La Opinion Milenio.   She has directed restaurants in both the U.S. and Mexico and has an intimate knowledge of the culinary cultures of Asia, Western and Eastern Europe, Latin America and the United States.  An added benefit of her culinary adventures, which have taken her around the globe, is that she is fluent in four languages.  

As an alumnus of the Sommelier Society of America, Federica is the only certified working sommelier in the Lehigh Valley.  She has developed our unique Wineflight - a three wine tasting paired to the three course Tasting Menu, available any evening for $14.  She is, also, available for custom pairings or wine suggestions with any ala carte items upon request.
